We’re renovating a turn of the Century home where oak flooring has a beautiful nail detail down the center of the flooring.  In this renovation, part of the flooring needed to be replaced.  Floors were stained to match and later the nail detail was added. View the finished product below.

New Bathroom Trends

We’re installing some new bathroom treads which include subway tiles installed in a non-traditional format with black grout (Image 1), radiant floors within a shower space (image 2), and non traditional glass profile tiles (image 3).  These are great ideas to bring to your architect or interior designer when planning a full renovation.

Hone In On Hoyne – Structural Steel

Steel has been erected in the basement including 4 beams and 5 lally columns. The longest steel beam is 24′ long to support the new addition.

As the foundation and masonry work continues in the rear,  carpenters have begun the rough framing of the new floor plan in the existing front portion of the house.   This includes a new skylight and new stairs from the second floor to the basement. Floor joists have arrived to be installed.
