Pete Pryor found a masonry two flat on 5300 block of North Wayne in Andersonville in the summer of 1993. He recognized that the house had good bones but was in overall poor shape. The previous owner of thirty years had done very little to maintain the property. He also had a compulsion for hoarding. After 2 weeks of demolition and a half dozen forty-yard dumpster, the place was finally ready to be transformed. Partnering with a local architect, plans were drawn for a full gut rehab and attic addition. The house was completely dismantled down to its shell and the front façade was completely removed. The new rebuilt elevation design allowed the new construction to blend seamlessly with the historic Andersonville aesthetic. The project took six months to complete and home remains as an excellent example good renovation.
